Sde Yehoshua (Kfar Samir) Cemetery

About
This cemetery began operating in 1971 after the burial plots in the Hof Hacarmel Cemetery were used up.
This cemetery has reserved plots: a plot for members of the Hagana who died after independence was declared, a plot for veterans of Etzel in which room is also reserved for veterans of Lehi, and a special plot allocated to victims of terrorism. 324 soldier who fell in Israel's wars are also buried in this cemetery.

Palm Gate
This gate, which is used for entry and exit by pedestrians, is located on Megurashei Sefarad St./Shlomo Hamelech St. This is the first gate on the left for those arriving from the direction of the Carmel Tunnels. A hall for eulogies in which the family and other attending the funeral gather is located at this gate. The funeral procession begins at this location.

Rose Gate

Myrtle Gate
At this gate are located the plot of martyrs and victims of terrorism and hostile action. This gate, which is used for both entry and exit by pedestrians and for exit by vehicles, is located on Megurashei Sefarad St./Shlomo Hamelech St. This is the third gate on the left for those arriving from the direction of the Carmel Tunnels.

Brosh (Cypress) Gate
This gate, the main entrance to the cemetery, is only gate through which vehicles are permitted to enter. It is located on Megurashei Sefarad St./Shlomo Hamelech St. It is the fourth gate on the left for those arriving from the direction of the Carmel Tunnels. In the plaza of this gate are located the offices of the supervisor of the cemetery. This gate contains a hall for eulogies, where the family and others attending the funeral gather. The funeral procession begins at this location.

Oren (Pine) Gate
This gate is located close to the Neve David neighborhood. The gate, which is used for both entry and exit by pedestrians and for exit by vehicles, is located on Shlomo Hamelech St. It is the fifth gate on the left for those arriving from the direction of the Carmel Tunnels. This gate contains a hall for eulogies, where the family and others attending the funeral gather. The funeral procession begins at this location.

The burial area at the semester is 297.6 dunam (74.4 acres), of which 165.79 dunam (41.4475 acres) are defined as closed according to the definitions of the National Insurance Institute. 13.8 dunam (3.45 acres) are allocated for dense burial.
Types of Burial
The burial methods used are field and family-couple burial in the closed plots, Sanhedrin (multi-tier) and family-couple burial in the reserved plots, and family-couple burial in the exceptional plots
